How to Find Speaking Gigs on Google

Everyone knows that Google is the #1 search engine in the world and can help you find almost anything. And, if you’re a speaker, it can be one of your greatest research tools to find speaking engagements. Use Google to check out upcoming conferences that highlight your expertise and put you in front of your target audience. You can also check out who spoke at a major industry event last year or learn about new conferences that look promising.

When you’ve done all your research, write a short pitch to the event organizer in charge of the conference or event, and include a link to your website, a speaker one sheet if you have one with titles of your talks, some background information and don’t forget links to your social media. Every helping hand in promoting an event is important to an event organizer. In a sense, that’s part of your obligation, written or otherwise when you’re chosen as a speaker.

I’m Robin Samora, host of Fast Marketing Minute. If you’re a speaker, you’re also an expert and probably looking to build your online brand every chance you get. Ask me about my personal branding package for speakers – you can reach me at RobinSamora.com. Talk tomorrow!
