Video content is king, right? Then why isn’t anyone watching your videos on YouTube? Here are a few quick, free ways you can boost your YouTube traffic. (And if you are a YouTube king, message me and we’ll share your advice).
-
You don’t have to be Stephen Spielberg, but create interesting, informative video content that your audience will value. Also, use a high-quality camera. The one on your phone will do in a pinch. The new iPhones are amazing! Not that you have to buy an iPhone.
-
Next, emphasize your expertise. People want to know they’re learning from the best, so this is the time to toot your horn. Shy? Get over it!
-
What do you want to rank for? Consider that when writing the title, description and tags for your video. Use keywords that are spot on and that you check regularly. Remember, YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world!
-
Share your video on your website and across appropriate social channels. The more places you have your video posted, the more eyes will see it and hopefully — your video will be played more frequently. That’s what we’re aiming for.
-
And lastly, create playlists, so the next video on your channel plays when the current one ends. If a new video automatically starts playing, people are more likely to watch it. Remember that time you “accidentally” watched all of Stranger Things Season 3 in one day?
