7 Ways to Use Your Mini Bio

If you’re a small business owner, speaker or expert who promotes your personal brand, you probably have a bio, and hopefully a shortened version.

Let’s talk about 7 ways to use your mini bio

A mini bio gives a snapshot of who you are. It’s not a long version of your career path, it’s usually two to three sentences long and includes your expertise, how you help people, and some personal information to lighten things up.

You can use snippets on social media, or in an author resource box, but here are other ways. In fact, 7 ways to use your mini bio to capture your audience’s attention.

  1. Post your mini bio In the side-bar of all your blogs along with a picture of you. Why?  If someone finds your blog from a Google search, they can automatically see who wrote it.
  2. Add your ***mini bio to your email signature to give it a personalized touch. This is useful when emailing prospects or catching up with clients, and you can change it up as often as you like.
  3. Your LinkedIn signature is a good place to add your mini bio. It serves as a warm intro and credibility builder when prospecting.
  4. Put your ***mini bio at the end of your articles on LinkedIn or other content outlets. Every time you write an article, make sure to include it. In fact, put it on your distribution checklist so you don’t forget.
  5. Another place to Include your ***mini bio is at the bottom of your YouTube video descriptions. It lets viewers know who you are and gives them a sense of your personality.
  6. Quora, the expert’s forum is an ideal platform to include your mini bio. Add it to the bottom of your answers. It will give you authority and build your visibility.
  7. And lastly, when pitching the press, put your mini bio in your media pitches for HARO . It helps you stand out from other boring candidates looking to grab a journalist’s attention.
