Marketing Tip: Forget 2020 or Use It as a Planning Guide?

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I have a habit of looking at the year in review. 

This year had its challenges with Covid, separation from loved ones, and an ongoing wave of uncertainty wondering what’s next. For your business, your family, and in the big picture, the world.

At the same time, 2020 also presented new opportunities. Stock market highs, a chance to reevaluate what’s important, personally and professionally, and an open slate to plan your life adventures in 2021.

 5 Actionable Ideas to Make 2021 a Better Year 

  • Take time off and look at your life and unseen possibilities 
  • Write down what you want your life and business to look like next year 
  • What do you want to create? 
  • How do you want to live? (Be specific, ok?) 
  • How much money do you want to make and how will you spend it? 
  • What will make you feel happy and fulfilled? 

Just recently, I made a decision to get healthier and hired one of my amazing clients to get fit.  The commitment has upped my energy by 100% and I’m working out every day doing things I like; hiking, swimming, water aerobics – even strength training.  

Say Goodbye to the Challenges of 2020

The challenges of 2020 can be opportunities to create a better 2021. You may think that’s the life coach in me talking, and perhaps it is. But all it takes is a decision to commit to move forward in any of one or two areas of your life (or business) and set up a plan to win.

One of my mentors told me a long time ago, “you need to burn the bridges if you’re going to succeed.” In this case, no fire is required. Well, just the fire in your belly and you believing this…

Enough is enough. I’m ready for a change. 

Over the holiday break, take time to think about your life and business, and be super specific.  Write down what you want. I can tell you from experience that clarity lights up possibility.
