Three weeks ago, I sent a list of 25 high-quality free photo sites to several webinar participants who wanted to know if there were any ‘good’ sites, with stock images you could actually use. I’m a fan of using free photos and select paid images (usually on a special deal) for content marketing and to build my own media channels.
Today, Search Engine Journal compiled a list of 41 free photo sites, 16 additional resources to my original list. Instead of looking at the same old websites that you’re probably bored with, check out this new list of 41 free image sources. You’ll also find Mazwai there, a site that offers free stock video clips. Certain restrictions and attribution may be requested or required for any of these images, so read the fine print carefully.
Here’s a clip from Mazwai of a man walking through the rice field.

Of course, the images you select will depend on your business, your brand personality, purpose, platform, and not all will fit your needs – but there’s a huge variety to choose from. Images are key to content marketing (whether free, paid, or your own) for social media, marketing collateral, blogs, podcasts, articles, and special reports.
You can also upload your images to sites like Canva or other alternatives to customize with graphics, quotes, and logos for online and offline use, but again, be sure to follow the guidelines. If you’re not sure where to begin, check out Canva’s design school to expand your knowledge and learn new skills. The investment is just your time.
