5 Marketing Tips to Get More Testimonials

Want more customers? Ask for more testimonials – they’re social proof. Want some marketing tips? Reviews are so important to build your business.

Here are 5 marketing tips to get more reviews

  1. Timing is key – Wait until you’ve given excellent service or received a positive experience from your customer. Don’t ask in the middle of a problem.
  2. Personalize your request – Ask your customer or client to mention specific details about the service they received to make the request feel more personal.
  3. Be sincere – Be genuine in your request and let them know how much you value their feedback. If it’s good, that’s awesome. If it’s bad, say thank you for letting me know. That’s an area for improvement.
  4. Make it easy – Create a simple and straightforward process for leaving a testimonial, whether it’s through an online form or email. You can even have an iPad at the counter or have someone follow up the next day. The point is to remember to ask.
  5. Be polite and patient – Give customers time to leave a testimonial and never pressure them. They’ll write a bad review instead!

Most importantly, remember to ask for the testimonial, just like you ask for the sale.
